With Brexit fast approaching, we felt it important to inform you of the potential disruption it may cause to the service we offer.
Presently, there is a lot of uncertainty as to the outcome of Brexit. A number of products in our market are currently sourced overseas, and the majority of construction machinery manufacturers are based outside of the UK.
At HTS we foresee potential issues in a few areas; some will be short term whilst others longer term with a bigger impact.
- Potential delays at ports and border crossings.
- Currency fluctuations and destabilisation leading to possible price changes.
- Import tariffs and duties on European imported products leading to potential price adjustments.
We are taking steps to ensure the smooth and continued supply of parts to yourselves.
Our recommendations to our customers are:
- Increase stocks of critical items in your stores during October.
- Have foresight and work with your HTS account manager to plan for the remainder of 2019.
